Stage 1: Add as many important halo tricking/trick jumping events to the spreadsheet as possible.
Stage 2: Produce an awesome interactive timeline, sort of like this: http://timeline.verite.co/
Stage 3: Review the timeline and discuss events which are missing and the events included.
What events are important?
There are three kinds of events we are looking to include on this timeline:
- General Events:
Release dates, or the creation of websites/archives. E.g. Halo 1 released in North America, Legendary map pack released, HIH created, h1stunting channel created, HSW created, etc.
- Revolutionary Events:
Events/discoveries which opened doors/revolutionized tricking in a game. E.g. the discovery of a technique/method or the start of movements within tricking (like the current trick-jumping-in-matchmaking movement).
- Renowned Events:
The most popular videos or tricks. Think Trinity, T2T, The Final Act, Deadly Stunters Video, Look Before You Leap, etc.
Start by looking up the information relevant to the event/verifying it through one of the resources linked below. Take note of the precise date of the event, then go to the spreadsheet and insert a row between the two events that occurred most immediately before and after the event you are trying to add.
Add the date in mm/dd/yyyy format, and write a description of the event. The description should note what the event is and what makes it significant (Note: general events don't need their significance explained). Is it renowned or revolutionary? If it's revolutionary, what makes it revolutionary? Keep personal opinions out of descriptions.
Once you have a decent description note in the final column what game the event pertains to or write "General" if it is a general event (Note: release dates are considered general events).
